No place like Rome

Once again this summer, a large group of Year 10 GCSE History and Italian students spent four wonderful days in the fantastic city of Rome. Despite the scorching temperatures, our hardy explorers visited the historical sites of the Coliseum, the Vatican City and the Roman Forum. They had a magical tour of Rome by night and experienced the bustling atmosphere of the Piazza Navona. Students watched artists creating pray painted pictures and had personal pictures made for them to take home as souvenirs. The heat was the perfect excuse to consume vast quantities of gelato so students became experts at ordering ice cream by the end of the trip. Their final evening was spent in a local pizzeria where they enjoyed the opportunity to dine out in this beautiful city in the company of locals and other visitors of all nationalities.
